Transitions explores the contrast between ordinary travelers and railway workers as they move through the space of a train station. To travelers the train station is merely a jumping off point, a place to pass through with the least possible delay. Little attention is directed toward those who make the station and trains run smoothly. Only an inconvenience or delay slows the travelers' pace, giving them room to reflect. For railway personnel the train station is like a second home. It is a place that is deeply familar to them, a place where they've formed lasting friendships, a place to be rather than a place to pass through. Music: Nils Frahm- Familiar
